Refund Policy

You get 14 days to try before you pay

Every new DebugAI account starts with a 14-day Pro trial — no credit card required. You get full Pro access (1,000 sessions/month) to evaluate the product thoroughly before committing. Our refund policy is built around this: we've already given you the time to decide.

That said, we handle every refund request like adults. If something went wrong — billing error, duplicate charge, or the product genuinely failed you — email support@debugai.io. No lengthy forms, no run-around.

1. Monthly subscriptions

Monthly charges are non-refundable after payment. When you cancel, you keep full Pro access until the end of the billing period you already paid for — nothing is prorated or clawed back.

The 14-day free trial exists precisely so you can evaluate the product before subscribing. We consider a completed trial a reasonable substitute for a post-payment refund window on monthly plans.

2. Annual subscriptions

Annual billing is a bigger commitment, so we give a small window after payment:

If you are mid-year and want to cancel, your access continues until the annual period ends — no partial refunds for unused months on annual plans outside the 14-day window.

3. Service unavailability

If DebugAI's core debug functionality is completely unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours during your paid subscription period, you are eligible for a prorated account credit covering the affected period.

Credits are applied to your next billing cycle. To claim, email us within 14 days of the incident with your account email and a brief description of the impact. We track uptime and will verify — you do not need to document it yourself.

Degraded performance (slower responses, partial feature unavailability) does not qualify unless the product was completely unusable.

4. Free trial users

Trial users are not charged. No refund request is needed. To avoid any charge, cancel before your 14-day trial ends — you will automatically move to the free tier (200 sessions/month) at no cost.

5. Beta period flexibility

DebugAI is currently in open beta. The product may have rough edges. If the product genuinely fails to meet reasonable expectations during the beta period and the standard policy above doesn't cover your situation, contact us with specifics. We handle beta-period cases individually and with more flexibility than this policy's defaults.

We would rather give you a refund than have a developer leave with a bad experience during beta.

6. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, please contact us first. We respond within 1 business day and resolve legitimate issues quickly — usually faster than a formal chargeback process.

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us first may result in your account being suspended for the duration of the dispute, as required by our payment processor. We do not want this outcome — reaching out directly is faster for everyone.

7. How to request a refund

We respond within 1 business day. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on your payment method and bank. We do not require extensive justification — if you have a legitimate case, we sort it out.

8. Relationship to Terms of Service

This refund policy is part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service. By subscribing to DebugAI Pro you agree to both. We may update this policy with reasonable notice via email or an in-app notice.
