What counts as a debug session?
One debug session = one error you send to DebugAI and get a ranked fix back for. Retries on the same error within 60 seconds (e.g., if you tweak the snippet and re-run) count as a single session. Background indexing and proactive scans do not count against your debug quota.
What happens when I hit the daily or monthly limit?
On Free, you keep using DebugAI for the rest of the day with cached fixes, but no fresh AI calls until the next UTC midnight reset. On Pro, the 1,000/month cap is soft: you keep getting analysis past it, with a one-line note in the dashboard so you know. We will never silently throttle you mid-debug.
When does usage reset?
Free tier resets every day at 00:00 UTC. Pro tier counters reset on your billing anniversary (the day of the month you first subscribed). Teams pool usage across all seats and reset on the team subscription anniversary.
Can I switch tiers or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrade from your dashboard and it takes effect immediately, with the unused portion of your current cycle prorated. Downgrade or cancel anytime: you keep Pro access through the end of the period you already paid for, then drop to Free.
What is the founding rate and do I qualify?
Accounts created before July 7, 2026 are tagged for the founding rate: full Pro at $9/month, locked for life. It stays claimable until September 1, 2026, then it is gone and we will not bring it back. Check your eligibility on the founding page; the server decides, not the browser.
Why is Pro $12 when Cursor and Claude Code are $20?
Cursor and Claude Code are general-purpose AI tools. DebugAI is a specialist for one thing: tracing errors across your codebase. We price below the $20 tier on purpose. DebugAI is the companion tool you add to your existing AI stack, not a replacement. If it saves you one debugging hour per month, it pays for itself many times over.
What payment methods do you accept?
Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and major credit/debit cards. Payments are processed by Paddle, a global Merchant of Record, meaning Paddle handles VAT, GST and sales tax automatically wherever you are, and you get a proper invoice for expense reports. Pricing is in USD only; Paddle converts at checkout for your local currency.
Do you handle tax for my country?
Yes. Paddle (our Merchant of Record) automatically calculates, charges and remits VAT, GST and sales tax in every jurisdiction we sell into: EU, UK, Australia, India, US, Canada and everywhere else. The price you see on this page is the price you pay before tax; tax is added at checkout per your country.
